Our Design Process

Do you need a storage shed and don’t know where to start? Let us take you through our design process. It begins with us obtaining as much information from you as possible to help us understand your vision for your outdoor structure. We suggest you take pictures of your house and exterior property so that you can show us where you plan on placing the shed in relation to your home. Then, come out to our lot in Middlefield to talk with one of our team members.

Questions to Guide Your Storage Shed Design

We will ask a lot of questions to find out what your needs are for your storage shed. These questions include the following:

  • How do you intend on using your shed? For example, will your shed be used to store gardening tools? Will it serve as a pool house, or do you plan to use it as a chicken coop? The desired functionality for your custom storage building will guide our process.
  • Do you have a Homeowners Association (HOA) where you live? If you do, then your new outdoor building’s roof and siding will likely have to match the colors and materials of your house to maintain consistency and adhere with the HOA rules.
  • What size and style of shed do you prefer? The dimensions and design of your shed should complement your space and meet your storage needs.
  • Do you want shelving or lofts in your storage shed? Additional storage solutions like shelving or lofts can maximize the functionality of your shed.
  • Do you plan to run electricity to the building? If you need lighting or power outlets, we can help with the installation of electrical systems.
  • Are you going to insulate the shed? Insulation can help protect your stored items from extreme temperatures and make the shed more comfortable to work in.
